Saturday was the last day of pain and suffering for Grandma S. My father-in-law's mother left for home that afternoon. She now sees more clearly, understands more deeply, and remembers more clearly. Home is a good place. That doesn't mean that she won't be missed here in the temporary home, but we know she is happier and healthier now than she has been in a long, long time.
We will be traveling to WV tomorrow evening to attend the funeral. We have rearranged as much as we can and cancelled a few things as well. What was important a few days ago is but a whisper in the wind today.
