Several years ago, we decided that I would like Christmas more if I had one day that could be
MY family Christmas. I pick a day near enough to Christmas to feel like we aren't rushing things, but far enough away from our travel that I can enjoy the time. This year it was Friday; even the dog was part of the festivities.
I worked Friday, so we didn't start our celebration until after 5:00. We had a beautiful dinner on Grandma's fine china: shrimp, limas, corn, mashed potatoes, and fresh challah bread.
We really need to find a way to remove reflections from glasses.
