Do You Know?

Do you know what a riparian buffer is? Did you know it is the law in NC to have one? Do you know what the second largest estuary in the world is? Can you define climax community or commensalism? Do you know which animal is promiscuous during mating season, but lives alone the rest of the time while having a home range of hundreds of acres? You can know all of these things and more by being a coach for an Envirothon team! Tomorrow is the Regional Competition. Today we had a huge review day from 10:00-1:00. I should have planned for 9-2:00. We weren't able to cover everything I had hoped to review. I think the kids will do well. I hope they do GREAT!
