We went a couple of weeks ago to receive the boys' checks and certificates for their soil adventures. #1 won $100 for his speech on The Living Soil. He goes May 14 to the State competition. We have been practicing every day this week. I was worried last week when he was unable to read and practice, but I think he still has time to get done all he needs to do.

#2 won $160 for his poster and essay on The Living Soil. His essay was sent on to the state competition and we will also find out on the 14th how that went.

They also recognized our Envirothon team for their accomplishments. We leave tomorrow for the State competition in Burlington. We will be primitive camping on Friday night. I hope it goes well. I'll let you know.
